Portfolio Strategist

AI Portfolio Strategist

See your whole exchange portfolio in one place and let an AI analyst tell you where you are overexposed and what the market phase suggests.

Sindex AI Portfolio Strategist showing synced exchange holdings with allocation percentages, PnL and an AI rebalancing recommendation

What you get

Read-only by design

Connect with an API key that can only read balances. Sindex never needs withdrawal permission, and you can revoke the key on your exchange at any time.

Holdings and PnL, synced

Balances, allocation percentages and profit or loss per asset are pulled from your exchange so the picture is real, not a manually typed spreadsheet.

AI analysis in plain language

The strategist reviews your allocation, flags concentration and dead weight, and writes a short assessment you can act on.

Rebalancing suggestions with reasons

Suggested trims and adds come with the reasoning behind them, so you can accept, adjust or ignore each one.

A market-phase read

Every analysis states whether the wider market looks like accumulation, expansion, distribution or decline, because the right allocation depends on it.

How it works

  1. Step 1

Create a read-only API key on your exchange

Enable reading only, leave trading and withdrawal disabled, and paste the key into Sindex.

  2. Step 2

    Sync your holdings

Sindex pulls balances and computes allocation and PnL per asset. Re-sync whenever you want a fresh view.

  3. Step 3

    Run the AI analysis

The strategist evaluates concentration, correlation to Bitcoin, stablecoin share and the current market phase, then writes its assessment.

  4. Step 4

    Rebalance on your terms

Review the suggestions, decide what to act on and place the trades yourself on your exchange.

Connecting an exchange safely

The Portfolio Strategist works from an exchange API key. When you create the key, grant read permission only: no trading, no withdrawals, and if your exchange supports IP whitelisting, use it. A read-only key lets Sindex see balances and trade history but cannot move a single coin, which is exactly the level of access a portfolio tool should have. Keys are stored encrypted and you can disconnect from Settings or revoke the key on the exchange side at any moment.

After syncing, the app shows each asset with its quantity, current value, share of the portfolio and profit or loss. Most people are surprised by this screen: a few winners left to run usually means one or two coins now make up the majority of the account.

What the AI analysis looks at

The analysis is written for your portfolio, not generated from a template. It starts with the market-phase read — an assessment of whether the broad market is accumulating, expanding, distributing or declining, drawn from the same multi-timeframe sentiment data the Market screen uses — because a 70 percent altcoin allocation means something very different in each phase. It then examines concentration (how much of your value sits in the top one or two positions), the share held in stablecoins as dry powder, exposure to assets that tend to move together, and positions that have gone nowhere for a long time.

The output is a short written assessment followed by concrete suggestions: trim this position toward a target share, raise stablecoins ahead of a risk-off phase, or leave a well-balanced book alone. Each suggestion states its reason. The analysis is available on the Premium plan and is the part of the product where the AI does the most work.

Rebalancing discipline and risk

Rebalancing is a habit, not an event. Many investors check monthly, or whenever one asset drifts more than a set number of points from its target share, and only then act. Reviewing more often than that tends to produce churn and fees. Sindex never places trades from the Portfolio Strategist; you keep full control of execution.

A simple rule that works well in practice: decide target shares in advance — say 40 percent Bitcoin, 20 percent Ethereum, 20 percent altcoins and 20 percent stablecoins — and only trade when a bucket has drifted more than five points. The Strategist makes this easy because it reports the current share of every asset next to its PnL, so you can see in one glance that altcoins have grown to 35 percent after a rally and that trimming them back would also lock in gains. Sell into strength, buy into weakness, and let the targets do the emotional work.

Crypto is volatile and an AI assessment is a structured opinion, not a guarantee. It does not know your tax situation, income or time horizon. Treat the suggestions as a second set of eyes, not as financial advice.

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe to give Sindex my exchange API key?
Use a read-only key: it can view balances but cannot trade or withdraw. Sindex stores keys encrypted and only ever needs read access for the portfolio feature. You can revoke the key from your exchange at any time.
Does Sindex execute the rebalancing trades?
No. The Portfolio Strategist analyses and suggests; you place any trades yourself. Automated order placement exists only in Algo Forge, and only if you explicitly connect a trading-enabled key there.
How often should I run the analysis?
Monthly is a sensible default, plus whenever a position has drifted far from its target or the market phase changes. Running it daily rarely adds insight and encourages overtrading.
Which plan includes the Portfolio Strategist?
The AI analysis is a Premium feature. Premium also includes Algo Forge and everything in Pro.
What is the market-phase read?
A one-line classification of the broad market — accumulation, expansion, distribution or decline — derived from multi-timeframe sentiment across major pairs. It frames the rest of the analysis, since the ideal allocation differs by phase.
