How to copy and customize a memecoin trading strategy
YouTube asking you to sign in, or not loading?
Strategies on the Meme Hunter board are shared by everyone, so nobody can change the original. You can still try a change on one, and the whole history replays at once, but on a board rule that change is only a preview.
This lesson doubles the trade size to see what moves (the SOL figures do, the percentages do not), copies the rule into your own strategies with Copy to my strategies, and then makes a real change: raising trading costs from 2% to a more honest 3% before saving it.

0:00Board strategies are shared
Lesson two. Make a ready-made rule your own, and keep your changes. In the last lesson, we picked Meme Hunter v2-beta. It's a board strategy: everyone shares it, so nobody can change the original. But you can try changes on it, and you can copy it.
0:19Try a change on a board rule
First, let's go back to the six-hour window. It's the quickest, so every change replays in a moment. Open Edit rule, and let's try a bigger buy: point two SOL a trade, instead of point one. The whole history replays at once. The SOL figures double, but the percentages don't move, because the size doesn't change what the rule buys or sells.
0:42Unsaved means preview only
The sentence now says unsaved. On a board rule, that's only a preview. The note at the bottom of the editor explains it. It's not yours to change. But Copy to my strategies keeps the version you're looking at, changes and all.
0:57Copy to my strategies
Let's do that. Press Copy to my strategies, and give your copy a name. Now it is yours. The badge says Yours, and the sentence still buys point two SOL, the change we tried.
1:11Your strategies: save, copy, delete
In the rule menu, it has its own place, under Your strategies. You can keep up to twenty of them. At the bottom of the editor, your own rule has three buttons. Save strategy keeps your changes. Copy makes another version, to test side by side. And Delete removes it. The recorded tokens are never touched. And it is private: nobody else sees it, and only your own wallet can be told to trade it.
1:38Set realistic costs and save
Now a real change. Costs is two percent. Real trades pay a one percent fee each way, plus network fees and slippage, so three percent is more honest. Let's set it, and press Save. Saved. The unsaved mark is gone, and the numbers now carry the higher costs.
1:58Trading a rule from your wallet
Your own rules also get this button: Trade this from my wallet. It opens Wallet and trading, where a rule can trade with real SOL. We'll leave that for a later lesson. Next, the Buy side, part one: how much, and when it buys.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I edit a board strategy?
- Not the original: board strategies are shared. A change on one is a preview only. Press Copy to my strategies to keep that version, changes and all, as your own.
- How many strategies can I save?
- Up to twenty of your own. They are private: nobody else sees them, and only your own wallet can be told to trade them.
- What should I set trading costs to?
- Real trades pay a 1% fee each way, plus network fees and slippage, so the lesson sets costs to 3%, closer to what real trades pay than the 2% it started on.
- Why did the percentages not change when I doubled the trade size?
- Size does not change what a rule buys or sells, so win rate and returns stay the same. Only the SOL figures scale with it.
